- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Doctor and nurses were friendly and pleasant but the wait times are outrageous! My son had a 9:30 appointment that we waited months for, and we had to wait over an hour and a half to be seen by the assistant and then additional time for the doctor to come in. - ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Three days following routine cataract surgery by Dr Tonica Johnson, I developed a severe infection/inflammation in that eye and lost vision completely for seven days. I was seen by Dr Daniel Simon, on call, who negligently mishandled my trip to Duke Eye Center, resulting in six hours of delay before being seen as eye condition worsened. Over a month later, my vision is not completely restored. I am certain that Dr Sam McPherson is rolling over in his grave with the sub-standard care at his namesake eye center known for its innovative eye surgery before it became a three-ring circus. Long waits, sporadically working equipment.... I won't be back.January 24, 2017by Tamela Davis
